I have made some progress on the making of this outfit! Let's take a look...
The Skirt
For the skirt, I used a green satin with a slight texture. To create the shape of the leaves, I used boning and interfacing. The leaves on my outfit are not as long as the ones on the original design, but I thought it was better to make them a little shorter so that I had less trouble walking around. XD Especially knowing that I will have to go down quite a bit of stairs for the Drag Me Up semi-finals. For the decorating, I added a ton of green appliques, holographic flex, and gems.

The Structure
For the structure of the flower, I used metal and plastic boning on a heavy crinoline fabric. I was pleasantly surprised with how easily everything kept its shape. This was my very first time making such a big structure and I was terrified the result was going to be floppy, but lyckily everything worked out according to plan. Once I was happy with the structure, I moved on to the decorating, with a gradiant chiffon and more flex and rhinestones.
The Corset
The corset is made out of 3 layers, a basic satin for the lining, a sparkly velvet for the fashion layer and a heavyweight interfacing. The corset serves as a base for the entire outfit, the flower is sewn to the skirt, which is attached with snaps to the corset. The goal with this outfit is to live my Showgirl fantasy to the fullest, so I obviously had to cover the corset and the bra with rhinestones.

The Wig
The wig is one of my favourite part of the outfit. I recycled an old wig I made for my other Poison Ivy costume. The wig is made out of human hair and I added tinsels to it. For the horns, I took inspiration from Evelynn KDA Allout's hair style to give a modern twist to the original hairstyle worn by Uma Thurman.
I cannot wait to try everything on, and show you the final result!
